LA099 Basic Writing Lab 3 credits

This course is designed to engage students in intensive, one-on-one tutorials with trained writing consultants. Students will collaborate with an assigned consultant during various stages of the writing process, including prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing. The intent of this course is to assist the student in producing focused, expository prose and refining fundamental writing skills needed to be successful at the University level. This course is taught in conjunction with English Composition I and II. Repeatable. Pass/fail. Credits earned do not count toward graduation. This requirement is based on English ACT score of 14 or less (or ACT equivalent of same score) and Comp I performance.
