TE221 Math Methods for Early Childhood 3 credits

This course is a study of the curriculum content for early childhood mathematics based on the NCTM standards and the Common Core State Standards, along with the instructional methodology appropriate for teaching that content. Emphasis is placed on the scope and sequence of teaching numbers, number sense, and operations; measurement; and geometry in the context of developmentally appropriate instruction for K-3 learners. A field experience component is required.
